I enjoy working with people so my career reflects that. Following several years in hospitality, I worked for an aviation training organisation in an operational role for thirteen years but alongside that I supported the pilots through difficult times in their education.
In 2017 I began training to become an integrative counsellor and currently volunteer seeing clients in a hospice/community counselling service while I accrue my hours ready to qualify.
I volunteer for a pilot mentoring organisation, working with pilots on their wellbeing. I am also the Mentor Support Manager for this organisation, ensuring our mentors’ wellbeing is looked after, that they receive adequate training and that the organisation is advised on best practice.
As for my own wellbeing, I take a balanced approach, ensuring I exercise regularly, eat well and allow time for relaxation.

Wellbeing Therapy FAQs
What can you expect from At One Wellbeing therapy?
A safe, supportive, non-judgemental, impartial and confidential relationship built on empathy, trust, responsibility, accountability, encouragement, empowerment and honesty.
This isn’t counselling, personal training or nutritional instruction but a space to explore your wellbeing and how it can be improved and maintained. I will use my listening skills, personal experience and expertise on relationships to facilitate you achieving your goals.
What sort of things can At One Wellbeing help with?
Lots of things but some examples are confidence, change, self-esteem, motivation, commitment, time management, decision making, resilience, sleep improvement, setting & achieving goals, stress management, mentality, nutrition, fitness, mindset, procrastination, self-awareness, self-discipline, self-care and work-life balance. Feel free to make contact as if I can’t help, I may be able to suggest someone who can.
Where do wellbeing therapt sessions take place?
We can work online using video calls or depending on your location (and covid-19 restrictions), we could walk-and-talk. Movement stimulates the brain helping us both be more creative with our ideas and it contributes to physical exercise and lifts your mood.
How long is a session?
Sessions last 50 minutes.
How often are sessions?
We will discuss this in your first session as it depends on your goals, motivation and situation. Some people find it hard to make changes so weekly sessions to monitor and review progress are likely to be most effective particularly at the beginning of the relationship whereas others may be looking to maintain changes in which case fortnightly sessions may be better. We will monitor and adapt session frequency as the working relationship develops as my aim is always to work towards your autonomy.
How long will we be working together?
We will agree this at your first session but it really depends on what your goals are. What I will say is the more you put in, the more you will get out of this working relationship. My goal is to make myself redundant so that you can lead a wellbeing-focused life beyond our time together. You are in the driving seat so you can end at any time although I do ask that you give a week’s notice.
How much do mentoring sessions cost?
Standalone sessions cost £30 each but if you want to buy a block of 4 or more, the price reduces to £25 per session. I also have limited space for sessions at reduced prices as I do not believe money should be a barrier to accessing wellbeing services. All payments are required in advance of sessions.
Does At One Wellbeing work with people of all ages?
I work with people aged 18 and over.
How will I know if this is right for me?
I offer a free, no obligation 15 minute informal chat over the phone so we can ascertain if wellbeing therapy is right for you and if I am the right professional for you. Everyone is different and I would encourage you to shop around for the right person to fit your needs.
How is this different to counselling?
The main difference will be the content we work with as well as the approach I use. Issues such as bereavement, trauma, depression and anxiety would be better addressed through counselling. Improved wellbeing and exercise can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression so that may be a welcome benefit of wellbeing therapy so we may still be able to work together if you have anxiety or depression however we would not be exploring the anxiety and depression in detail.
Does At One Wellbeing offer counselling?
At present At One Wellbeing does not offer counselling however it aims to in mid-to-late 2021.
